Originally I wasn't going to post anything to this forum, but since cjjack did, Diane did, and Fed-X did, I decided why not. Besides this will give everyone a chance to know right up front who I am.

I am a current employee of the Federal Bureau of Prisons. I am doing my time on the instalment plan - so to speak-, meaning - 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, for up to, at least 20 years, probably more. (I do not mean to make light of anyone else's situation) I do understand what you are all dealing with. At least in my limited way.

I have worked in many areas of the BOP so I come to this forum with a wide range of experience and knowledge. It is my humble attempt to help out anyway that I can and to make this time as easy as it possible can be. I will do my best to be as straight and direct as I can be, providing as much 'accurate' information as I can. If I share something as my opinion, then I will make sure to state that it is 'my opinion'. Other than that I will give you the straight line right from the beast's (BOP) mouth.

I wish everyone the best and I KNOW that this site is a tremendous source of information and even more comfort for everyone.

I have to say when I walked out the gates of the "Medium" I didn't much care if I ever saw another grey BOP uniform. I didn't have any real bad experiences but after putting in a little controlled time, I knew I liked the world better and not having to have permission to do much of anything.. That being said, I always look forward to reading what you have to say.. I've found most everything I have read from you to be "right on the money".. I think you also represent the people that work for the BOP that do care, and yes everyone, there are BOP employees that do.. Thanks for everything that you have done, known and unknown to us, both here and inside.. It is very much appreciated.

I've always followed your posts! They are so informative and helpful.I just wanted to add my own personal thanks and appreciation for the time you spend on PTO sharing your knowledge and helping any way you can. I hope you continue to stick around :-)

Greyghost has been a godsend to me and many others. I refer to him as my BOP guardian angel! His information, guidance and moral support has helped my family tremendously. I would be proud to consider him a friend.
