That way they don't have to worry about any contraband in the hood. MissFaust 04-13-2004, 04:18 PM i think it's silly for them to not allow people to wear hooded sweatshirts! I mean, they always check for everything! oh well, just my opinion Eric's Homegirl 04-13-2004, 08:14 PM Nope, Amy1 is correct, NO hoodie's allowed. Wear a shirt that will cover up your tattoo's. Anything to revealing will get your visit terminated anyways. RichsGurl 04-14-2004, 01:41 AM I think the reason no hoods are allowed is because you could use it as a mask or use it to sheild your face while you kiss or something. It is a silly rule but oh well. We have to do what "they" say. :-( Kittie 1 06-09-2004, 03:31 AM Sweatsuits are not allowed by visitors because the inmates are allowed to wear sweatsuits for jogging, etc. Anything clothing an inmate is allowed to wear visitors are not. Anthony's Fina 10-20-2004, 04:02 PM Yes you can I wear them all the time..... You just need to take them off so they can see what you are wearing underneath before you go into visiting ......... 03 B&C 04-18-2005, 11:20 AM OK I understand the hooded sweatshirt but since it rains a lot up there are you allowed to wear hooded jackets? amazed 04-18-2005, 12:04 PM I've worn hoodies plenty of times! Two weeks ago I wore one, didn't take it off to go through the medal dectector (I wasn't wearing anything except my bra underneath) and nobody said a word - they didn't even ask. You can wear a hooded raincoat (or hooded sweatshirt) as long as it isn't solid blue, grey, yellow, orange, or green. I wear a clear rain poncho when it rains. They sell clear ponchos or clear shower caps : ) in case of rain, in the prison before you go in. 03 B&C 04-18-2005, 12:32 PM What about hooded jackets when it raining? 03 B&C 04-18-2005, 12:49 PM Ok I see the info about them selling rain ponchos and shower caps (yuck) but I would like to know the following: 1. Does the poncho have to be clear? 2. What is the cost? 3. Can you bring your own rain bonnet if its clear? I've worn hoodies plenty of times! Not more than a few dollars. 3. I don't know. Just make it easy on yourself. Bring a coat or jacket or sweatshirt (with a hood) that is not a solid blue, grey, yellow, orange or green, and you will be just fine. Chances are that you won't even need it. This last weekend the weather was beautiful. 03 B&C 04-18-2005, 03:28 PM Well this weekend they are saying that its 50% chance of rain and it will be my luck that it will pour lol! I am most confused about the hood issue and if we can or cannot wear sweat suits. What is your opinion on sweat suits? I'll try to answer whatever I can. 1. Yes. The poncho has to be clear. 2. Not more than a few dollars. 3. I don't know. Just make it easy on yourself. Thanks. 03 B&C 05-02-2005, 10:47 PM I just wanted to bring some clarity to this forum because I was soooo confused when I asked for direction and hopefully this will save someone else the stress. 1. Yes you can wear hoods when visiting at SQ. If you have on a hooded sweatshirt with nothing under it you are fine. If you have a shirt under it you will have to remove it to be processed. 2. Sweat suits are ok as long as they are not blue, grey, yellow, or green. I know these questions would have save me a ton of stress so hopefully it helps. I wore one this weekend and had no issues. Several other people also had them on and had no issues. no hoodies :( fraulein 05-03-2005, 02:59 PM they SAY no hoodies.....but i was there last week and some bug guy eith a hoodie with lots of "subjective" messaging on it was not told to remove it... he was in a noncontact visit though..... it may be different for contact... but the information presented SAYS no hoodies.... what they do permit, I am finding, is a bit arbitrary Cyndi1 05-07-2005, 12:41 PM I saw lots of hoodies, juicy couture type. |
