Hi everyone! My name is Liddy and I will be surrendering for a 15 month sentence to Bryan on June 1. I have found this site greatly helpful but still have to say as the days get closer, my mental state gets a little worse -- have a husband and 3 little boys I am leaving behind.

Hi Liddy. Welcome to PTO. Try not to worry too much, others have posted that the dreaded anticipation of the unknown is far worse than what you actually encounter. Look for posts by cjjack, she's done federal time and her posts are very informative. Good luck and keep us updated.

Hello and Welcome liddy!!

I know how you are feeling. It is very uncomfortable to say the least. Trust me when I say that you will make it through this! Sometimes our fears are worse than the reality. I know mine were.

Any help or info that you need, don't hesitate to ask!!

Welcome to PTO {again}

We have a former member of PTO in Bryan at this time, we have stayed in touch! I am sure she would be willing to help out once your there! You'll still have PTO around!

Glad you were able to find us and I do hope you will find some guidance with our members who have been there! And feel the love and strength from all others!

Liddy,
Hang in there.. The bad is about to start looking better every day.. The worst part is turning yourself in..
You'll definitely have to check out some of the PTO peeps that are serving time in Bryan..
I hate to say this but we may soon be having PTO meetings in the feds.. Though going there sucks, having a decent support system waiting for you is a good thing.. Nothing like having the connection when you arrive.
Any way, sorry you needed us but it is good to have you here...

Thanks everyone. This service has been a big help. I'm sure I'm just like everyone else-- I'm not as scared of where I am going as I am of where I won't be -- taking care of my family.

Hello to everyone at PTO! I have been supporting my husband for 16 years. We have been to FCI Ashland, FCI Manchester, FPC Manchester, and are now trying get from FPC Marion to FPC Oxford and then home! I am so glad to have finally found this website. This is my first experience in all these years to connect with others that struggle day by day, month to month and year by year because of love stronger than most people can imagine. I honestly believe that each one of us is an "angel", as we continue to love and support an inmate when the rest of the world turns their back. Thank you to each one of you out there for being there.

Hello Liddy,

I have really appreciated trading PM's with you and discussing our similar situations. I know how hard it is. You have lots of information from PTO and lots of support at home. Be grateful. You will make it and be stronger because of it. You are strong.

Thanks for the kind words -- it's weird in a good way to people who have been in this situation -- I just don't run into any in regular life. Sheryl -- I don't know how strong I am but you are right that I have lots of love and support at home. How can I fail when they have gotten me this far?

Hang in there Liddy!

Try running a search on this site under "Bryan" and maybe you wil get more info, I know I saw some on here before-I heard its NOT BAD there...as far as camps go..

I know everyone's sentence seems like eternity at first to them, but when you get there and meet people who have done more than 10 YEARS, your outlook will definitely brighten, trust me!

Check out the threads about camps, too...

Good luck,
Lisa
