Hi ya'll, I'm from Armona, Ca., and I am posting this in hopes to help out my roommate, and good friend. (Armona is between Hanford and Lemoore)

Her husband got sentenced to 3 years, and was sent to Avenal Prison. And if that isn't bad enough, they had just got married.

To make matters even worse, she has no transportation of her own (tags are out on her car), and everybody's good intentions to get her there and back, well you know.........
Many have promised, and many have failed. I, myself, do not have a car. I take the bus to and from work. She ran into a group called Friends on the Outside, but they cut your visit short to where she only got to see him for 1 1/2 hrs. She was in tears by the time she got home!!!

Her visitations are on Sunday's. She has to be there by 8:30 (to get any time at all with him), and is over at 3:00.

If you, or anyone else you know, is going that way, please either post me a message here, or shoot me an e-mail at Please use PM's rather than email addressesShe will gladly help with gas, and with the price of gas nowadays, it may be a welcome opportunity for someone. She is a very nice person, and a blast to be around!!! (at least I think so)

:) My roommate and I wanted to thank each and everyone of you who welcomed us, and wished her (Sandra) good luck.
 We also know that all good things come to those who (are patient enough) to wait!
 I am so grateful that I got mad enough to be convinced that there had to be a better way of going about things!
:) Through this site, we have also been shown all the support that is offered out there, and people do not have to go through "it" alone.
:) Thank you all again for caring.
;)

That's wonderful news. You will find lots on this site, and also tell your g/f to try and get involved with her man's prison activists too if she wants. It helps to feel empowered during this journey. :)
