I gotta make this quick. Ive been on this web site for a few hours and Im gonna be late for work... I always do this!!! My boyfriend is in Florence USP. It seems they are always on lock down. What is the deal??? I am planning my first visit. I dont want to drive 880 + miles and then be turned away. In addition, we are waiting to see if another state is looking for him. How long to they have to respond? How often does the counselor show his face to get answers from him? My biggest concern is about this lock down crap. What is the outline of this? What are the general guidelines??

I don't know much about the feds but as for the other states looking for him if he filed a motion for them to pick him up, they have 180 days to extradite him and can sometimes get an extension for a month or so. Unless he has a VOP then they have no time restriction and can wait even until his release date to bring him to that state.
