DIRECTIONS TO SQ!!

Hello everyone.. i was wondering if someone could help me out with directions to san quentin. I have my first visit next week but have no idea how to get there. I am coming from san jose and could not find exact directions online. any help would greatly be appreciated.. i will be more than willing to carpool with anyone who is interested,my car or yours, i have no problem with that. if anyone is going up to SQ this upcoming thursday morning i would be more than happy to carpool, its always nice to know someone who is in same situation as me...thank you everyone......

I come from Morgan Hill from the 101 to 880 and then I take 580 I get there a lot faster then driving any other way....... it takes me about 45-60 min depends on traffic

If you're coming over the Richmond Bridge then exit on the very first right hand side exit directly after coming off the bridge. Go to the first stop sign and hang a left directly under the freeway overpass. That road takes you directly to the East Gate Processing Center and you will park down below in the visitors parking lot on your left just before the main gate.

If you're coming up highway 101 in Marin County, get off at the San Quentin sign exit in the town of Corte Madera. Keep bearing right and follow that bayside road (Sir Francis Drake Blvd.) along the shoreway past the ferry landing on your right and up and over the large hill. Continue downward over that hill where you will briefly be on Highway 580 East for about three seconds! Exit immeditately on your right just before the Richmond Bridge and take your first right turn at the stop sign. This is the same road as above and you will be brought to the same East Gate Processing Center. Good Luck.
