Does anyone know how strict michigan in about extriditing people from other states. My fiance was arrested in New Orleans 2 days ago but Michigan has a warrent out for him. Alot of people are telling me that is cost to much money to extridite people so they will wait until he gets busted in a state that is closer is that true? If any one could help put my mind at ease I would appreciate it. I would like to know either way I can't take wondering if he is going to be shipped away from me.

Hi Kisha. Sorry I don't know much about your question, but I'm sure someone in here will be able to help you. I would imagine extradition depends on the seriousness of the offense. MDOC keeps getting budget cuts so maybe that will work in your favor. :)

They'll extrodite him if they want him bad enough.It depends on what they want him for, how serious it is and how bad they want him.I'm from Texas and they took my man. It's been 10 months now.He's in a county jail and waiting for a sentencing date.sorry, it will be hard to visit him.(the distance)But if he does get extradited and sentenced he can request to do his time where he's from.It's up to the Marshal and space.
