I found a really neat tool that calculates your days of sobriety and how much money you've saved, or not spent. It's called the Abstinence Monitor, you can download it directly at http://www.unhooked.com/toolbox/absmon20.zip, it's a very small download. You can also go to the LifeRing Secular Recovery "toolbox" page by following this link http://www.unhooked.com/toolbox.

You enter your sober date, what you used, how often, and how much it costs and it calculates the money you've saved down to the penny. As of 6pm today I have saved (or not spent) $19, 287.35 since giving up meth a year and a half ago.

Definitely an eye opener...

I think its great that you have been clean for so long. If you dont mind me asking, what made you finally stop using meth? I just wish my husband, or x-husband in a week or two, would have stopped when he had the chance. He is hooked on making it as well as doing it. Now he has lost his family of almost 20 years.

:hmm:
Thanks for checking it out Sweetpea--
If you go to the website link and, at the very bottom of the page, click on the link where it says "Click to download" a dialogue box should appear asking you to "open" or "save" the file. In some cases it may automatically download and you will have to find it in your Temporary Internet files. If this happened you probably downloaded it and don't realize it -- I had 3 copies downloaded before I realized what was happening

Has anyone else had a problem downloading the file? It works for me so if it still won't work it may have to do with your browser or the security settings.
