I would be too. The mailroom at San Quentin is behind by about 7 days, when it is a
holiday, you can expect delays of mail reaching him by 14 days. What I have done in
the past, is call the prison, and ask for the mail room. They will give you a clearer picture of how backed up the mail room is. When Eric was at SQ I sent all mail overnight express delivery. It can be expensive that way, but at least I knew that he
would get his mail the next day. Priority mail is like regular mail, so don't waste your
money or your time sending it that way. Is your son in reception or is he mainlined?
Do you know if he has a consuelor? If you have concerns about your son and he has
a conseulor, then I would call him and ask how your son is. Hope this helps. Suzi
