I went to go see my friend today...took about an hour for them to get him down today, which is wierd...last time he was down in about 10 minutes.

It's wierd that I look so forward to these visits, sometimes I dread them just a bit because of whatever it is inside me that gives me the heebie jeebies...but the visits go so fast, and it seems like no matter how hard I try to remember every detail, it all slips away until what's left is just what I started with...this growing love in my heart that won't back down. I can't remember everything we talked about, I can't even remember if we said goodbye or if we just waved...but I remember his smile and how happy we both were, even just for a small moment today. I can't replace that feeling with words...I'd never want to try. It's warmer than a down comforter on a snowy night. It's love ;)

I do believe I'll go back tomorrow :)

I know what you mean sweetie!! I went up north on Friday morning and visited from 1:30 to 8:00 and then today from 8:30 to 3:00. Today went by so fast....I miss him already and wish he were close enough for me to go tomorrow after church. For now I'll just remember the down comforter on a snowy night and pray that he is warm. He said it was freezing last night. I need to get his package made up this week and be sure to get some really warm thermals for him. I'm happy for you that your relationship with your friend is blooming into love. While no one on the outside can understand what's in your heart, it's a love that knows no comparison!! Have another great day with him tomorrow!

Love ya!

It was better today...yesterday I told him about PTO, today I asked if I could share the drawing he sent me that he did. He said sure :) I'll post it in the gallery.

We had this heartfelt puppy dog eyed "I miss you" today and it almost sounded like we were trying to outdo eachother with who misses eachother more. I left feeling warm and fuzzy again today :) Next weekend won't get here fast enough! And maybe if we're lucky, in two weeks, we'll get a contact visit :)

For whatever reason, every time I try to post in the CA forum...my internet explorer is shutting down...so let's see if it sticks this time.

Knuff, thank you. It is great and it gets better every day :)

Anjel, is Jacc in the desert or mountian or valley area? I forgot to ask how cold it gets at night there, but my gosh, at 9am this morning, it had to be close to 100 degrees outside. So far, his only request has been sweat shorts, but you make me wonder if maybe it's time for sweat pants too?

you get long visiting hours! ours are 8:30 - 3pm sat/sun only. because of the lockdown it's only 20 minutes, but that too shall pass :)

Jacc is in Salinas Valley right off of the 101, about 125 miles south of San Francisco and about 30 miles from Monterey. Have you ever heard that saying, "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco". I think that's how it goes anyway..LOL! Well, it does get cold up there. Temps in the morniing were around 44 degrees. We froze Sat. morning waiting for the bus to pick us up and take us to processing. It's beautiful in the aftenoon when we get out.

Glad you had another good visit today. Take care and God bless!

Soul Sliver,
Your description of your visit is so "right on"! I have been writing my fiance for 6 months now and 2 weeks ago I went to visit him for the first time! I had never met him and he knew what I looked like but I didn't know what he looked like! He had asked me to marry him and I said yes a month before we ever "met" in the flesh. You all on these pages know that the looks don't matter, it's the beauty inside! I just knew he was "THE ONE"! Anyway, I was so nervous I got sick the night before and my hands were sweaty and my mouth dry!! But as soon as he came out and smiled and winked at me (thank GOD! So I would know who he was!!) I felt like I had known him forever! We got reprimanded for sitting to close but I will always remember it! Now I'll be there every weekend! It's a 4 and a half hour drive but well worth it!!!
