I've just started reading the above book by Dr. Brian Weiss which is based on the assumption that we each have a true soulmate who appears throughout our lifetimes in various guises but we always recognise them. The soul goes on living, it just comes back in a different vessel each time. Just wondered if anyone else had read it and what they thought of it? J x

Yes the title is "Only Love Is Real - THe Story of Soulmates Reunited". It's published by Piatkus by the looks of things. The copy I have here is kinda dogeared cos I got it from the Library. Oh wait - I think Warner Books Inc published it in the US. Good luck finding it.

Wow, that's sucha coincidence that you bought it. I am 3/4 of the way through it and I love it. I won't go into details but you can gradually see the 'story' unfold. It also throws up a lot of insightful information. Its a good read : )

well, anyone ever heard the Greek myth about the soulmates? I'm not sure about the details and all that but it goes like this:

in the ancient times there used to be a tribe where both man and woman were 'combined' in one person. this tribe was very loving, they never fought and they didn't need anybody else, because they had each other, they were always with each other, because they shared the same body.
The Greek gods became jealous at this happy and loving people, so they decided to seperate them. so the 2 persons that always had been connected to each other by flesh, were seperated and torn apart, put somewhere else, far away from each other. they lost their soulmate and since then they have always been looking to find their soulmate back

I like this myth, because this is exactly how it feels when you find your soulmate. you feel like a part of you has been missing the hole time and you finally found it back.
