My son is presently at South Florida Reception Center - South Unit. He may be moving to Moore Haven. I only know what I have found on the Internet. CAn anyone tell me from experience what it is like? I would appreciate it. Thank you - POO

I was never there ; but my brother was and he told me it is privately owned ; a/c; [ wackenhut security ] and it is laid back. Alot easier time than other prisons. I was in prison about 3 yrs ago up in north florida and there were alot of guys wanting to transfer there. So I believe your son will be ok. Of course the only advice I can give you is to tell your son just to mind his own business. If he does that his incarceration will go smoothly.

My faince' is in South Bay owned by the same company from what I hear from other families that have had their love one transfered there it's much better . The guards aren't so hard on you . The visits aren't bad at all and my faince' has been there since Sept without any trouble thank god we only have 6mos to go , But no prison time is a fun . As Michael said the best thing is to stay do yourself it seems like the ones that get friends have problems . Good Luck

It sounds like the privately owned facilities run much smoother than those ran by the state...hm....
