Well I got a letter from Brady last night (he's still at Lexington) He's been at Lexington for 2 weeks now and was told he's going to Alva to Charles Johnson Correctional. Does anyone know about this place? He says he was told he will do a month long boot camp and then they will ask the judge to release him. He could come home in a month and a half but I wasn't sure how true this is. Has anyone heard of this before? This is what he's being told at Lexington.

My son just got out of there last Friday. I will ask him. I would be surprised that they would let him go that fast. It is a 90 day program, but my son ended up there 120 days because the other units were too full. I agree with Skunkette, don't get your hopes up.
My son put in the paperwork to get a judicial review in a few months, but they wouldn't even consider it. What county was he sentenced in? THe judge makes the difference. There is another boot camp program, for youthful offenders called RID in Fort Supply. If they had wanted him to only go to boot camp they could have sent him there if he was the right age. Good luck, I will get back to you.

It can be anywhere from a 90 day to year long program my fiancee was supposed to go there they never sent him we were told he would be home in 12 months he will be in 3 years before he gets to come home the end of this year. I would take a wait and see approach for now and see where things go.

When my son first went in, I called BJCC and asked a counselor how long the shortest time had been for anyone, and he told me 12 months, but usually more like 16 to 18 months if they are sent there and have to complete the program. There is a boot camp and then the MRT (moral reconation therapy) they have to go through to finish up.

this is chris, the guy who just got out of BJCC. the program consists of two parts: 1. the high structure boot camp which is supposed to last 12 weeks. 2. the main treatment program. there are two different main treatment programs MRT and Thinking for a Change. the boot camp lasts a minimum of 12 weeks then there will be a waiting list. I started on the list at number 42. it took 6 more weeks before i finally got to the main treatment floors. then there is a waiting list for the main programs. while i was on charlie (the boot camp) they did an assesment and told me which program i would go into. MRT takes at least 6 and a half months once you get into the program. Thinking for a change is a 90 day program. I had an friend there who got out in 295 days total. it was a new record. I appreciate all the support you have shown my family and will respond to any questions you may have.

Hello Chris,
It is so great to hear that you made it home safe and that your mom didn't forget to pick you up. LOL. I am so glad to hear that you got your old job back. That should keep you occupied so that you have no bad thoughts. Forget all those bad things you learned in prison. If those guys ideal were so great then why are they locked up? Think about what you did to not only your self but to your family. Family is the most precious thing in life that you can have. Enjoy your freedom, stay out of trouble and have good clean fun. And don't spend to many hours in front of the game station. LOL. Wishing you and the family the best in everything. God Bless
