October 26th: Candlelight Inter-Denominational Prayer Vigil - in preperation for the Supreme Court hearing on Nov. 5th
Inside & Out
Participating: ACLU, FACTS, UNITY 2, Friends Outside, Human Rights Watch, Danza Azteca Cuauhtemoc & Inside FACTS Chapters and individual prisoners
At Exposition Park, Exposition Blvd. & Vermont Ave in Los Angeles across from USC. People of all faiths are asked to join us as we send up a petition of prayer to ask God for favor in this very important decision that will be heard before the U.S. Supreme Court on Nov. 5th. Rev. Norman Johnson of SCLC will lead us in prayer. Prof. Erwin Chemerinsky is our guest speaker. Come light a candle for your loved one! 60 min. II will film.

I's there any other vigils happing in different cities that day? I am so bummed!! I live like 15 minutes away from the collisium and I will be up in Sacramento that weekend!!

Not that I know of Kelly. I am bummed you won't be able to be there either. I would love to meet you and we need as many bodies to come out and rally as possible! Have a good trip to Sacramento though. Take care and God bless!

Thanks for the info Anjel. I'll be going to this vigil. In fact it's my birthday. I wanted to visit my husband that weekend,but since I go to school Saturdays and I can't miss, I postpone for the Thankgiving weekend. But I'll defenitely make it to L.A. By the way what time does it start? SusieQ

The vigil will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Not sure where you are coming from Susie Q but there will be a group from San Bernardino FACTS carpooling together from that area. Let me know if you would like to hook up with them and I'll get you in touch. My sister in law and I live near the Ontario airport so it doesn't make sense for us to go and carpool. We'll be leaving from this area and can always take one more if you live near here. Let me know!
