I need to know if there is anyway of finding out if a person has an outstanding warrant in the state of Oregon. If anyone knows of a website or perhaps a phone number to call, it would be greatly appreciated

Call the county courthouse and ask for "Public Record" clerk, then s/he'll ask you to come in the office to fill out the full name, date of birth, and last known residency. Then you'll get his/her criminal record from the clerk... it's open to the public. You also can know if s/he is currently in a jail or a prison by calling V.I.N.E. and talking with a live operator. Yes.... that means if you have to call every county courthouse in the State of Oregon! In the end, it might be worth knowing the much-needed info.

If you know the county, you can go to the courthouse and access the public records of the person. If there is a "W" next to the case, then there is an outstanding warrant. (Usually it's because the person failed to appear in Court.) Or you could call the court clerk and they would tell you. But there are also "secret" warrants when someone is indicted and has not been arraigned in Court yet. That would not appear on the public record and the court clerk would not tell you. There are ways sometimes of finding out about those but, again, you have to know the specific county. Best thing to do if you think that might be the case would be to call the public defender's office in that county and see if someone will help you. They could also tell you what to do if there is a warrant. Good luck! Zelda
