I Live In Va. And My Husband Was Extradited To Dvi And Then To Chino Hes Been Gone For Almost A Month And I Havnt Heard A Thing About Where To Write Him Please Someone Give Me The Adress Or Info On How Long It Will Be Befor He Can Even Call Me

I am not familiar with Chino, but when my son mainlined to CSATF from DVI, he called the same day he arrived at the prison I believe...or maybe he was locked down for the first 24 hours...I don't remember. But I know it wasn't long. Maybe if your husband is housed in AD seg or a SHU he can't call, but probably otherwise he can soon.

You can call the inmate locator line at CDC and give them his name and birth date and they will give you his CDC number. They may even be able to tell you where he is housed, but I understand there is up to a 7 day lag time for that.

Once you have that CDC number, you can call Chino and get his address, and where he is housed. Then you can write!

Just go to the CDC site and that site all give you all the phone numbers you need...the locator number (it works 24 hours) and the number for Chino.
When you do get what you need to write to him it goes like this on the envelope:

Name CDC number
Name of State Prison
PO Box (housing unit)
City, State Zip

there is a number but i can't find it if you mail it to the 441 p.o. box if he's there at chino he will get it just make sure as with anything you give to an inmate it has his NUMBER on it or it will get sent back call info. and just ask for the # to chino men's prison in calif. or the state institution for men in chino calif. the number get's you to a recorded message follow the prompts and you'll get to sending mail to and inmate and they'll help you just have his number ok hope this helps i've spent too much time visiting my bf there once a week every week for 3 of his parole violations he was on the east yard but the west yard isnt any different in the way of mail ok bye bye allison

oh yeah sorry i almost 4got it's 30 day's before they can call but most sneak out and call when they get off of fish row that's what they call the first few weeks i dont know why they call it that but hey who am i to say.......... :o)~~ anywhoo goodluck
