We have been waiting for this the last 5 yrs, Finally!!! His case has been pulled as of September 6th and I have written a support letter already which was back when he 1st arrived to TDCJ. I was wondering now since his case has been pulled, I would like to write another support letter giving details about what is planned when he is released and other details but where would I send the letter? Would I send it to Austin and then they will make copies foward over to the Angleton board or do I also send it to Angleton? Any help please!!!

In addition to a support letter, you could consider creating a whole "Parole Packet" and asking for an interview with the lead voter. Take a look at the Stickys at the top of this forum for advice and suggestions about how to make a packet and request an interview. Good luck!

Sorry, But Im the only 1 that has support letter, His & the ones my mom wrote are already in his file, Iv tried asking family & friends but of course they havent the time, But I dont think I will be able to take the call from the them because of my job, My packet has 1st w/his name & picture, 2nd page to the voters of course just saying please take the time to review over my material, 3rd page is my support letter & then 4th page of some pictures of me/him & daughter, The rest if having faith & hope & alot of praying that he gets FI-1, He was given a 7 yr sentence, March 2011 he will have done 5 yrs of that, No lawyer to help, We have alot of faith that he will get out, We are prepared for the worst if it doesnt happen! Thanks ya'll! : )

I sent off support letters 3 weeks ago and just recieved a confirmation from them yesterday...I would suggest faxing it! My man is under the San Antonio board but I sent the letters to the Austin mailing address (oops). The confirmation letter says it was placed in his file...I bet they're use to it! Best wishes! :)

TDCJ likes it done a certain way...Send the letters to Austin they will place it in his file..but since you do not have a date as to when the IPO is going to visit with him at the unit...The best way to make certain the letter/packet goes into his file is to send him another signed original copy, he will give it to the IPO at his interview and they will place it in the packet...that is the person who is going to update the file for vote to parole...impress them its a very short interview with little talk their report is considered at 10 percent...they are interested in what has been done in the way of rehabilitation...BUT>>> MOST IMPORTANT is his self letter!!!! He needs to write a letter and speak about what he has learned and his plans for the future....The board wants to know that they are making a sound choice by granting the privlage of parole to an inmate who has learned from their sentencing..Good Luck! deeintx

Parole should pull file 6 months prior, For example my hunnys was pulled 09/06/10, So as of tomorrow he will be waiting 2 months for IPO to visit with him, But of course it could take longer, From what I've heard too is that Angleton board is alittle ahead so I'm just waiting to hear that he was seen so then I can start getting my notes on phone interview, I can't believe I requested one, I'm so nervous, Here is the information on the location & #'s for Gatesville board

GATESVILLE BOARD OFFICE

3408 S. State Hwy. 36
Gatesville, TX 76528

if he has not seen parole yet I would advise to send him a copy of the parole packet to submit to his IPO at the time of the interview that way you can ensure it is part of his file from the get go. If his IPO has already submitted his file then I would send it to the actual board location.

Ok so I talked to a lady at the Angleton Board office which told me everything is being done online, Which I had thought all the paperwork was in a file, She said that they have new system that everything is done online, I just wanted to make sure that when I faxed the parole packet that they received it, So when I asked she said soon as someone gets to all the faxes that they will send confirmation, She also said it might take 2-3 weeks, I thought by faxing it that it would be sooner, Anyhow she explained that when I faxed the packet that it will probley be sent to Austin to where it will be scanned online, Anyone ever heard of this? Im going to mail a copy to Austin just to make sure! Also going to send my hunny a copy : )

I just mailed a parole packet to Austin yesterday. My husband is up for review in Dec and he has already seen the IPO. I hope that it is scanned online into his "file". How would we know when the "file" makes it to the board now if its online? Would they still receive a hard copy of the file? I'm confused to say the least. LoL (He is under the Angleton Board)

I think she was saying to send a copy to your man so that he can give it to the IPO. Hope that helps!

Renee is right, Kind of weird that when she told me that there isn't a file folder, When I seen the parole office if Gatesville I saw nothing but folders, Hmmm...

My husband seen the IPO on Sept 15th. I've read on here that the IPO has up to 60 days to have it to the board so I figured I would start calling to see if its there on Nov 15th. His "meeting" with the IPO was more like "Your up for review, sign this. Here is your copy" :( And that was about it. Go figure.... So here we are playing the waiting game.

Austin is the place that is supposed to compile the inmate's file. If you send you're packet early enough, you should send it to Austin. But if you know your file is already with an individual Board, it's probably quicker to send the packet to the particular Board.

I learned about parole packets so late in the game that I tried to cover all of my bases. I FAXED the entire packet to Austin, Huntsville, Gatesville, and the IPO at my man's unit! :o:o

Here are addresses that I still have. Hope this helps!

I wish I had more information for you. :( I personally don't know much about the federal process. :o Hopefully someone will come along and tell you if you can do parole packets for federal charges. In the meantime, here is a link to PTO's Beaumont Federal Complex Forum (http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=1085). Maybe you can find some information there. Good luck!

He hasnt had an IPO interview yet where they done more than give him the paperwork and say "here sign this". He has been under the Angleton board for the last 3 yrs; this is his 4th review. The few that have had an actual interview are very lucky.

@tx gurl, my hubby always says its more like the ipo is a middleman and the "messenger". I always tell him he should plea with the ipo and he always says that they are strait to the point and rather informal, although he is also under Angleton board, and the lady did tell him to stay out of trouble and that this time he has a good chance of making parole, which normally they hadnt said too much in the past. He is like she just wants to make sure nothing has changed in his file and that all the addresses and phone numbers are correct, and that sort of thing.
