I would just feel sick if I found out he was shipped out of state. I'm still trying to figure out what the deal is with the phones at Lewis in the Buckley Unit because he hasn't called. I know he gets three 15 minute calls a week, but they can only make them when and "on-line" officer is there or something like that. The guy I spoke to wasn't much help. I wonder how often that is! I'm sorry your guy was shipped out of state. That is really awful. I hope you will be able to visit him.

The DOC web-site tells you everything - even disciplinary actions! Just type in their name or ADC number.

ebontortuga23 - Also - Isn't your husband in the Buckley unit? If so, that is a level 4 unit.

I read this on the ADC last night my sweetie is At Lewis also in Barchey unit. I hope and pray they do not transfer him. We have not even got to have a visit yet. But the luck we have and the way things have went in the past knowing our luck they will transfer him.

Hi everyone. I am new to the group, but I have been checking into the transfer and wanted to share what I know. I called central ofice and they connected me to 602-364-3945 and they said they would be sending Mexican Nationals next. They also said that everyone was tagged to go but that does not mean they will go.

My husband is rated a custody 2 who has served nearly 6 of a 10 year sentence. He has 2 1/2 years until he is out so he is likely to go.

I called because we wanted to request what site he goes to if he goes. They said you can't request a location nor can you request not to go. All you can do is volunteer

I hope this helps a little and I look forward to getting to know others here.

I am not understanding something here. What class would I be looking for? Would it be the felony class? Just wondered because Jeremy is due to be released in probably August, But some of these things they post under the adoc web site I do not understand. Anyone know?

Crystalclear - When you go to the ADC website and put in the inmates DOC number, select "Initial Classification" - They will have a "public risk score" and an "insitutional risk score". There leve is determined by the highest of the 2. Say if the public is a 3, and the institutional is a 2, they would be classified a level 3. Over time though, this score could drop - so also check the "profile classification" to see if it has been changed. I hope this makes sense?

I was given a AZDOC number that is dealing ONLY with "THE LIST" you can call and see if your loved one is on it for the week.
They can NOT give exact time and date but can say if getting transferred during the current week.
It is 602-364-2080 Hope this helps :)
I was told this was only a temporary transfer ~6-9 months.

Hi Timsbaby!

You wrote something about Winslow...
Is it not a good place? Does it have a bad reputation?

Hugs,
Hanna

Hi Hanna...I don't know anything about Winslow yet...he's possibly going to be transfered there and I'm just not happy because he'll be even further away from me now...You might want to post asking about Winslow, someone else might be able to help you out.

Hi guys ...well since my guy was transfered in Jan the 8th to be exact let me help you a bit ..dont let it stress you out to much ..at first I was a wreck but ..like everything in this system theres nothing you can do ...and theres no reason to be all upset ...its going to be harder for them ...starting all over new ...what I did was got on the internet ..email the chamber of comerece in the city he was transfered got all the info I could use ..what hotel/motels were close ..rent a cars ...etc and found all the reasonalbe prices for at least a one time visit ...but after me and Luis Talked about it ..the transfers are for 6 months or a little more so we decided to save the money and since he is far they do get to buy phone cards so he calls twice a week and it doesnt hurt my phone bill...they cost 10$ for 20min ..not much but hearing thier voice is something ..LUis is in Newton which is on the louisiana border it is way far ...and we didnt get the option of video visit or charter bus ...so at least thats good for you and probly least expensive and just be strong ..there are days that are hard and mail takes longer like 5 days to recieve a letter ..but be strong ..this is just another test ..and it makes your love even stronger ...and before you know it he will be back ..Luis has like 1 month because the contract with Newton is up so ..now I am waiting if he comes back here or the other ones ...he said alot of guys leave every monday ...so my fingers are crossed ..it was hard not seeing him and I cant wait ...take care and be strong you can do it ..because you have to ...

My fiance told me that the word has come back from inmates that have been transferred to OK and it's nothing like they or us have been told. No jobs, phone and visitation must be re-approved. And, its not an open yard like they are used to on a minimum facility. They are locked down in pods with a dayroom and only given one hour out a day.... It sucks. I hope he doesn't go.
