Well my name is Drena (21) and my boyfriend Tj (26) was just sent to CMC a few weeks ago. He was sentenced in Jan. of this year and was given eight years. With a lot of prayer hopefully he will be home sooner than that ( he already has an appeal hearing on Wed of next week). I just wanted to say this site has helped answer all of the questions I had and I am thankful for that. But I do have one question he is asking for me to send him items do you know if he can be sent anything and if so when the last day is to send stuff. He is in CMC. Thanks alot Drena

Glad you found the site for support!! I've found the main things to send are books, writing paper, envelopes. Keep your head up and know you have an entire community here for you!

Hey Drena, it's me Lisa. I got your message you left me about 2 months ago but you never called back. If you still have my number call me and I'll be happy to give you all the 411 on CMC.
My fiance has been locked up since 1999, and he's been at CMC since 2000. He also is on the East Facility, so I'd be happy to answer all your questions.
Besides a quarterly package (care package, which now is sent through a vendor by the name of Access....www.californiaqp.com) here are other items that you can send through vendors.
He can recieve music tapes, music cd's, paperback books, magazines (through a subscription with the magazine company's), calendars (I just bought my man a Raiderette calendar on Amazon.com), etc...
You can order him books through either Amazon.com or Barnes & Nobles.
