Im just wondering how many "PTO-ers" are in my city. I talk about PTO all the time openly in public. Im just waiting for someone to walk up to me and introduce themselves. Anyone? Anyone? hehe :p

Finally! Im from Cedar Rapids! I just joined last wknd. My b/f is in Oakdale right now he has been there for almost 2 weeks. Im so scarred for him. He seems ok in his letters. He has been to jail before but prison. He is in for drugs/running from the Hinzman center to be with me, so I feel partially responsible in a way. I hope they send him to Anamosa since its closer, but I have not heard good things about there, Ive heard better about Mt Pleasant but that is so far away and I hate driving! Hi guys...I am not from CR, but close, Dubuque here. But there are a few other CRers here also. And Alexis, my guy is in Anamosa. Which is where he requested to be because it is the closest to here also. So tell you guy to ask for annie, and they may accomadate him if possible. Annie is a med/max prison so it will also depend how he is classed.

Hey everyone, I'm from CR. My man is also in Anamosa. Annie isn't too bad. My man has been thinking about transferring to another facility, but this is the closest to me so he's going to stay put. Thank Goodness. I love to drive, but if he goes further away, I wouldn't be able to see him as often. If anyone wants to chat, please feel free to PM me. I know how ya feel Tami, I am the sole Dubuquer too. But I am closer to Cedar rapids than you are. :idea: I think we should have an Iowa get together, what do ya all think? We can meet somewhere in the middle somewhere. Tell me what ya all think, and maybe we can arrange something soon with the nice weather comming on. :thumbsup:

I think you guys have a great idea. I'd come. I think it'd be really cool to get all of us together from Iowa. What are our t-shirts going to say: I Love the IDOC? hehe. just kidding. I think we should schedule something here in the near future for us.

I"m trying to get a few of my friends that also have their men in prison to become PTOers, but they're kind of protesting. I could probably get them to come too and they could see what it's all about.

we'll have to figure something out. I should see Weddings at Annie tomorrow and I'll try and say something to her to see what she thinks. You know if she'd go or not. She lives in Marion. I think it's a wonderful idea.

That would be great If we could all meet. You guys helped me so much when John was away don't know what I would have done with out you guys!! :thumbsup:

You know I just had an idea come to me about t-shirts that we could have. They could say on the back: I'm IN LOVE with an inmate in the Iowa Dept. of Corrections.
What do you guys think? I'm too silly. Anyways. Just a thought. My mind is going like a 1000mph tonight. IT won't stop.

I think it's great. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Tana and I'm in Cedar Rapids. My man is in ASP.

I'm definitely in on the t-shirt thing. I like Prisonbud's idea for the t-shirt: I have a loved one in the IDOC.

I think we should see what other ideas we can come up with too, just to see.

Are any of you going to tell your man about the shirt idea? I will tell J. He'll laugh, but think it's cute. I already know that he'll think it's a great idea for us to get together. I talk to him about PTO all the time.

Hey everyone, just found out saturday that Billy is coming home Aug. 23rd.! And I got approved to be on his visitors list. But am scared to drive so far. I think its about 3 hours from cedar rapids to fort dodge. I know he really wants me to come see him.
When they get out, does somone go pick them up? or how does that work? I may call his counselor today, to find out more info!!
