I have been informed that the Double Tree Buena Vista (our host hotel) DOES now have Wireless "high-speed" internet. The cost is going to be between $10-$20 for a 24 hour period. Will find out for sure soon.

I have a call in to the Hotel Manager to find all of the specifics such as where the hotspots are and so on but after getting off with a guy at the company that provides the equipment and does the installs he said a hotel of that size should be covered very well.

So, things are looking good for live streaming audio and quite possibly video as well.

A number of you have mentioned that you would not mind donating to see this stuff happen. I'm still trying to find out exactly how much it is going to cost but here are some of the things we will need to pull this off.

*Wireless LAN Card - 802.11b/g (mine is toast but I may be able to borrow one. They are not expensive like they once were)
*Microphone - Something that will be good at picking up conversations across the conference room - USB interconnect
*WebCam - If we can go video, we will need one of these to upstream to the server
*Rental of Audio / Video Server. Probably about $50.00
*Download of Application to everyone's computer that wants to listen to stream.

This is just to let everyone know what we are looking at. I will try to get as much of this as I can. If you would like to donate (and are financially able) it will put us in a better position to make this happen.
