Does anyone know if AZ inmates can purchase fans? for there personal use? I heard that Yuma was allowing them but wanted to confirm or deny this.. thanks in advance to anyone that might know

I haven't heard anything about this, but didn't see it on the items list for inmates at Lewis Prison or at Florence. One way you could find out is get on the prison website, or call the prison.

I didn't see it on the commissary list for Florence either!

I heard back from Yuma and they do sell them for level 2 and 3 inmates for 20. so that is interesting as if they sell them in one facility then they must in all according to my guy
dang it is hot there so it makes sense to have them

My husband said they are going to be getting fans in probably with in the next month they will cost about $25. I was also told this by another outmate I carpool with. This is at Florence. So hopefully the others will be geting them also.

Lewis Prison has fans to order from the store they are jsut under 21.00 ,,, they are 9 inch fans ... woohoo about time they got them

I'm new to this site, but I've really enjoying lurking here ALL DAY. I didn't know that there was such a wonderful group of supportive people online, that the mom of an inmate could learn from. My son sent a commissary price sheet from Estrella, while he was awaiting sentencing, but he hasn't sent one for Florence West, where he has just recently been sent. Is there a place online that one can look these price sheets up, or do I need to ask him to send me one?

It takes so long for our letters to get back & forth between Northern CA & AZ that I'd like to be able to look up whatever I can online, and save the "letter questions" for ones that are personal to the two of us.

I think that a fan would be a neccesity in that climate, and I'd like to send a separate money order for one for jim (I'm not independantly wealthy, so this will be something I'll need to budget for.)

Just thought that I'd let you know that when I left from working as a CO at the inmate store on a level 3 yard (Med) they were just getting approval to buy fans that were going to be the clear plastic like all the other items. This was in Feb of this year so there should be fans for them this summer hope this helps.

my guy at Lewis has his fan, they are for sale and he is enjoying it immensely ...

My friend in Douglas has a 9 inch fan.

If any one hasn't heard they all have fans now my man in Florence North is in a tent and he told me he just went and bought one. Gonna need it in this heat!!!!!!!!

My son told me earlier this month that he was going to purchase a fan, I hope he got it! Thats a treat for him because he always liked to sleep under a fan at home lol!

Joey just bought a fan for himself. I am not sure what it cost. HE is in Florence East Unit.

you can have fans if your score is a 4 and under. Tucson we just bought one for 20$ and then they jacked him and sent him to SMU Two and he just sebt his fan home...cant have it if your a 5/5 gr-r-r-r-r-r-r
