I guess that its funny how DOC thinks that they have the upper hand on deciding who can and can't get married...I know that they are making it very hard on us in fact the Chaplain just told my Fiance Ricardo that he thinks that we should wait until he is out of prison. Now my thing is how do they know what is best for us??? They don't and until they can walk in a mans or womans shoes that has been in prison and has been in love they should not judge..I think that if two people love each other that only they know when the time is right. :)

Now after all of that Ricardo and I met well he wrote me his first letter on November 25th...at that time we had just met, I wrote to him from the Prison Pen Pals website...since then he has written over 60 letters and he asked me to be his wife on February 2, 2004. It doesn't matter what the prison says anyway in our hearts we are already married...I have been sending letters to him with my last name as his for months, so I guess that they will just have to deal with that...I love him dearly and will stand by him forever whether he is inside or out, and we hope that in September all will be set so that we can get married while he is in. Then I have the task of preparing a HUGE wedding for when he is out, that was his request...funny though that we will already have been married almost 2 years by then. :dance:

I am in Texas and me and my fiance' are in the process of filling out paperwork to get married. We have marriage by proxy...so no approval is needed. Because we file it through the county clerk not through the prison.

Hi I haven't been on in a while but I have good news. I will be marrying my Zato on 3/24/04. I will be obtaining the Lisence on Wed 3/10/04.

Maybe I confused some people with my post...what I had meant was that we are in the process of the paperwork but when he met with the Chaplain he tried to tell Ricky that he should wait and Ricky said that he loves me and that I am the woman that he wants to spend the rest of his life with...who can argue with that.
