Men, women & children are more than welcome to be a part of this event where we can get together, eat, chat, and be a part of an activity. (FOR ALL AGES) This is an inexpensive way for friends to help friends get through and support eachother. So come along!!! First gathering will probably be around the start of June. I will have to withdrawl my offer to carpool from Portland, as I will be heading up north the Thursday before. Thought it best to spend time with family before I blow them off to meet all of my PTO friends!! Give them a couple hours, and then I'm free for the rest of the weekend!!

WOW!! You guys rock! This sounds like a great plan for a get-together! Sorry that I'm about as far east as I could get, but I just had to stop in and read what was happening over here on the Northwest coast!

Keep this going and maybe you could start a head-count for who is definitely in and then organize plans from their with everyone helping out in some way. Then after you have this list, you each work on getting 1 or 2 other's to commit along the way... Before you know it, you should have 25-30 people attending! WhooHoooooooooooo...another rocking get-together in the works!!! :)

OMG everyone. Jonny was transfered to the BOP in SeaTac, I am compleatly excited because the BOP is 15 minutes away from my house!!! I'm just waiting for him to mail me my Visiting Packet so I can register... This will be the first time we can hug, kiss, or touch eachother since i met him in there last year...... Wish me luck!!

Jonnysgirl and I have been doing some brainstorming for our fun filled weekend coming up in June and we have come up with some pretty good ideas. We are however hitting a point in our planning where we are in need of a headcount, and who is bringing kids and/or other family members and friends.
Everything is still on schedule and is coming along well. We are still working on the day time plans, and are leaning towards the big beach BBQ where there will be lots for every one to do. A new activity is planned for Saturday night, called a Passions Party. It sounds like alot of fun and given the situation we are all in I think that we could use it. We are talkin a night of motion lotions, body paint, and "TOYS"!!!! :cuffs: Oh and dont forget the "COCK-tails" and margaritas. :fb:

Is 5 Mile a free park?? Lot's of WA State Parks cost $5.00 to park, but I did not see anyone collecting the fee.

I was just remembering how difficult it was for me to plan a company picnic (many years ago!!) and how frustrating it was to co-ordinate. We had the BBQ at the park in Renton... ummm... you know that huge on at the end of Lake Washington!! Just off 405... Oh, well, can't remember the name!!

I had such short notice to put it together, that we were too late to reserve a covered spot, but I figured with such a small group (20 employees and just a few family members confirmed) that we would not need to, because the park is HUGE!!!

Well, the park was so busy the day of our function.... we could only get ONE table!! And every employee brought at least 2 - 4 guests!!!

Just some thoughts from your old Mother Hen!!! You chickies are doing a fine job!! And I am thankful it is not me!!!

I just looked up hotels and wow.. everything is more expensive up there.. lol.. I found Extended Stay was the cheapest with $55.00/night.. that is for a queen room, they have everything in their rooms.. for a 2 beds room it was $65/night.. I also found Val-U Inn in Auburn is $59-69/night for 2 queen beds.. I think rooming with someone would be the best idea.. those are the closest hotels I found for the cheapest rates.. everything else was rediculous.. I know Motel 6 is cheaper, but they are farther away, I think it said 11 miles..

Lori and Tanisha are also opening their home to folks that need a place to stay.. man they need their computer back... lol

man so much planning and still so little time.. lol

Well hello! Sorry we have like dissappeared from the sight but here I am. Jonnysgirl and I have had a rough few weeks but all should be back on track soon. Lots of rumors and misunderstandings. Dr Pepper!!!!! Lot's of Dr Pepper!!! In a bottle. Chilled to the proper temp!!! Never shaken, never stirred... just hook up the IV!! LOL

FYI, there is a small mom and pop convience store across the street from the park.

Okay guys!! Here is some of the answers to your most asked questions.
We have planned that for all that is coming up friday, we will get together for some snacks and maybe go bowling to use up any extra time that night. Then Saturday, we can meet in the morning at about 9ish for a lite breakfast then meet at Five Mile Lake at noon. That will go till about 5ish so we can get to my house in time for the passion party that starts at 6pm.
Now for anyone that actually has something they want to bring, please PM me back and let me know. Tanisha and I are getting together sunday or monday for the food planning. Hey everyone.. We (lauren ans I) are need the final results as to who is coming. I think she pm'd everyone with our #'s please pm either her or myself with yours and we will get back to you asap. When we talk to you we are going to need a # of people coming with you and if you are bringing anything then we will put you on the list for that item.. So far we have:
#1 JJT or Barb is Plates, napkins and cups
#2 Wyresgirl is Chicken
#3 Kellil is Soda

There will have full access to Laurens house through out the weekend (including the refrigerater) if what you bring needs to be chilled. Ok besides a few of the major items, I am going to make some Roasted Chicken Pizza. Trust me it is HELLA:rock: good. It's one of those Pamperd Chef Recipes. Anyhow, Lauren says she is the "SALAD LADY", :spammy:what ever that means... LOL!!! No really she says that... But, uhh where was I heading with all of this... Ok...
