View Full Version : Intro--rainbowpenny from Virginia
rainbowpenny 04-03-2002, 11:46 PM :fb:First of all, I'm Penny, my husband's name is Larry. He's been incarcerated in a Virginia prison for almost 21 years! At the time of his crime he was on a lot of drugs, nobody was physically hurt in his crime and he doesn't have a life sentence. He's had an exemplary record his whole incarceration and has still been given 13 turndowns because of the last two govenors and their abolishing Parole in 1994. there are still over 20,000 inmates here under the old law! I've known my husband since 1974, we have a 26 year old daughter and three beautiful grandsons! We lost contact for years and in 1991 we moved here from Indiana to stand by Larry. He's also from Indiana. The Lord helps us stay strong together in our love for one another! Larry will go up for parole again towards the end of the year and god willing he'll make it home this time. We now have a better govenor. Thanks for listening!

Let me also add my welcome. I have to admire and respect you for standing by him for 21 years. My husband hasn't even been in for 1 year yet and I already am getting tired and drained. I think we can all learn a lot from you. Will be looking forward to your posts and wisdom :)

I'm Cindy. My husband is also in Virginia. He's been there just over two years and has another 2 1/2 to go. He was at Fairfax, Mecklenberg and now at Coffeewood. It's good to see someone else dealing with the Va system.
Keep your chin up and God Bless.

WELCOME TO PTO... I AM ALWAYS LATE, BUT HERE'S TO YOU. 21 YEARS IS A LONG TIME FOR A MARRIAGE TO LAST WITHOUT IT GOING THROUGH THE PROBLEMS IN A PRISON SYSTEM.
GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.

rainbowpenny 04-17-2002, 12:43 AM Hello! Know something I'm always running late too, but I get there! I wanted to make it to the chat room but, it was a really rough night at work so, I just got home a little while ago! Actually, Larry has been down 21 yrs. but, we got back together in Feb. 1991, that's still a long haul! It's been over 11 yrs. now. but, the Good Lord Willing he'll be home within around nine months, things look so much better than they have with our last two Govenors here in Virginia! I haven't got to put any post up the last couple of days, it's just been a hectic week! I am off Friday and Saturday so, at least after I go visit Larry on Saturday I can come home and relax instead of having to go to work! Thanks for the welcome Donna, Hello Everyone at PTO! Penny
