Many of you know that H.R. 5296 was introduced to reinstate the Federal Parole issue. A statement was issued by the sponser Patsy Mink's office today that she passed away this morning from complications of pneumonia.

Apparently she has been in the hospital since the end of August. This was right after her resolution was put into committee in the House.

I would like to offer a memorial to the woman who stood up and fought the rights of so many. If you go to her website through the House of Representatives main page you can see a list of the many accomplishments that she did for her people and all the people of this country.

Please, I need to know about this resolution, did it ever pass or is it still in the works. My husbands needs to know. He will be transfered to Florida in the coming months. I'm new to this site and don't know exactly how to go about it. Thank you so much for any help you can give me.

How can we get parole back in federal prison? :pissed: I am so angry with the justice system this is rediculus ..i do not know where to start..I have sent letters to reps, congress . the president and vice president also to the senate but i do not know if that is the way to go how can we get attention about this..has anyone thought about going on TV? what about rallies ? how can we get their attention about this does anyone have any ideas? we have got to do something for our loved ones!
