Just wanted to say thanks to the folks who maintain this place. It's great. Melissa, my wife, is doing a stretch in Kentucky. We've only got 14 months till it's all over and she can come home. We met through a mutual friend a couple of years ago, started writing, then talks on the phone that led to visits and last August 12th we tied the knot in the little chapel they have there. When this all started out I never thought I'd be finding my life partner in prison. Just like a lot of the posts I've read here we struggle with communications at times but that's because of the crappy phone systems. That and it's an 11 hour drive one way for me to visit, which limits those to about once a month or so. Anyway, I'm glad to find a place that supports both those in and out of the system...we're all doing the same time anyway.

The distance you must travel to see your wife is a long one. How often are you able to see her?

Hi Tracy and thanks for the note. We usually get to spend some time together about once a month...at the very most 6 weeks. They do let us have a longer than normal visit because of the distance I have to drive. We get 4 hours a day instead of 2. So basically we have 8 hours together once a month or so that takes me about 22 hours of driving to have!:>) But it's worth every minute of windshield time! Fortunately we don't have much longer to go and we can put it behind us.
