I wanted to know if anyone could help me on this one.. My bf told me he is not getting to go before the board. That they are just sending his jacket before the board. So does anyone know what that might mean. Or why he is not getting to go before the parole board please let me know something if u do.. His PE/TE date is May 3rd Thank you so much solostwithouthim

I am not positive about this but I believe that it is when they take your file "jacket" and go thru it to see if there is anything bad in there, disciplinaries, and such. THis tells them a lot about a person and what has went on with this person since their incarceration.

Honestly know not a thing about Arkansas other than I'll never go there... but elsewhere.. KY for example, the board decided to manage it's time better by taking all class D felony cases and reviewing them offsite. Class D's would get their decision by way of thier caseworker and legal mail. Class D is lowest felony in KY.

C,B, and A felony folks will get to meet the real board when they show up at the institution on the first tuesday of the month..--(That is their rotation date, and catch other institutions for the rest of the month..--

In ky it was a time management thing. Could it be something similar in AR?

His Jacket is his file. it has his record and everything that's happened to him since he's been there (disciplinaries, classes, etc.)
Class Ds do see the board in Arkansas (my husband has a class D felony and is going up soon). You will still be able to write letters to the board - and you should.
