I can't believe this one! My husband tried to mail me and our daughter a rose for Valentines Day and it was returned to him by the facility because they said it was contraband!!!! Have you ever heard of such a rediculous thing? It wasn't a REAL rose (of course). Someone was making them in there and he wanted us to have one each. The funny thing is he only got 1 back. The other wasn't returned, and I haven't received it yet either. It might still come, he sent it after Valentine's Day and the mail from there is VERY slow. I just find this so stupid! Since when do they check the outgoing mail? Who cares what they're sending out. Do they really not have anything else to worry about?
I just needed to vent!

I'm so sorry that happened. I hope you get the second rose and if you don't remember it's the thought that counts and that was a really sweet thing of him to do.

That funny how they return that but i can remember a couple of years ago my man sent me some of his s_____and they came to be with no problem. Boy they are really funny.

dont they just love to drive us crazy! they change their rules all the time and do whatever they please whenever they please! im sorry that happened to you thats so messed up. but like everyone says atleast he had a nice thought!

Texas checks everything incoming and outgoing. They want to make sure you're not planning a prison break or something I guess ... :rolleyes: as if you would write that in plain English! If they even get travel magazines that have maps in them, they tear them out. I was surprised when I was telling my husband how I was going to get to work to avoid the construction they didn't black that out before they gave it to him. Anything to make life more difficult for them and us I guess.
