Can anybody tell me how to come to an reasonable result - to get a call from my inmate..:-) I'd love to hear his voice. But what I heard it must be around 100$ for 5 minutes. Is this true? I can call to the States for 2 cants per minute... but unfortunately the prison cannot receive calls

Angel there are no phone calls from Tx death row. I don't know anything about Arizona. So international calls would be out of the question.

I do not know about Texas, but as far as I know, Arizona is allowed to make international calls.

Arizona death row prisoners are allowed to call for 5 minutes each week and it should be possible for you to accept the call overseas. Texas prisoners are not allowed phone calls at all.

Ok I am in Australia, and one reverse charge call for 15 mins cost me $94. Thats australian dollars, but it may give you a rough idea.

I had a penpal in Lousiana who was allowed to call me here in Uk, once in a while. Last call was around a year ago. Here in UK BT charge a standard £11 to say "yes I accept the call" plus £1.50p per minute, plus tax of the usual 17.5%. You didn't say which country you are in?

Sasha
no calls from Florida Death Row are allowed. I had a friend that was in county, from DR in Flrorida, thats how I got to talk. Unfortunetly, there are no calls allowed.

Poetery, Im so late at replying here, I didnt even see your post.
The call was $94, through a company called MCI, and it would of probably been, if I round it off to $100, around $74US, depending on our exchange rate when the call was made. It was around a 15 minute call, if that. :(

Tx dp does not allow calls, as well as the GP there in or on polunsky

Polunsky can now make two 5 minute phone calls a year. They just started this a couple months ago. But I believe if you aren't there for the phone call it still counts as one. I know one of my penpals at Polunsky was so excited he was able to talk to his grandma.
