So I addressed my husband like this:

name TDC#
Gurney Unit
1385 FM 3288
Tennessee Colony, Texas 75861

BUT I read someone with a p.o. box 6400....will it still get to him? or did I just waste another 5 stamps?? and where in the hell were the po box numbers found?? i got the address online under the offender search...why would they have two different ones in different places....shouldnt it be up there with the physical address or make it easy to find for mailing address???

So since nobody responded...

I called the facility.

1385 FM 3328
Palestine, Texas 75803

I asked specifically for the address for Gurney to mail letters to an inmate & this is what I was given. She said they no longer used the P.O. Box for 911.

I do not get why it is the same street and everything but online says tennessee colony, texas 75861 and she gave me palestine texas 75803????

I was emailed the P O box address from classification just a wk ago, but when I received my 1st letter from him it had the physical address on it, but said Palestine, TX 75803 so I called yesterday to find out which one I use and I too was told to use the Palestine address and if I had sent anything to the other addresses it would be coming back.

thanks! atleast it is not lost then. he may be freaking out if he did not get any letters...but I did email him once. I am going to email again and let him know what is up. I am saving those for emergency reasons & this is one I would think.

I write to my husband using 1385 F.M. 3328 TENNESSEE COLONY, TEXAS 75861-6400 and it gets to him. I doubt that you will have a problem if you write to him using either address. If all else fails send it certified so that you know that he recieved your mail.

I don't know if it matters. I've always put my son's number on the line with his name.

I don't think it matters either as long as all the info is on there. I usually put the tdcj # on the same line also.

Does anyone know how long it takes for letters to reach them? I read somewhere that they have a slow mailroom or something. The last place he was at took one day until he received my letters. but now hes further away and I dont know how things run there.

alright thats decent. I thought i read somewhere that they have a slow mailroom. but three days is pretty good. I only live two hours away from there. I just dont want it to take forever to get to him.
