Well I was wrong. Joey is now in Florence/East Unit. Can anyone tell me what I should expect when I go visiting.....and is there anything special I have to wear or not wear, and what we can or can not do......also I need info on where to send money to him.....How long does it take to get approved for visits? Um, how much are phone calls?........Anything else of importance...
Just the basics. Fill me in on what I will expect during his stay in FLorence/East

Hi joeysgirl ..well I sent you a message but I dont know if you got it ..but like I said Luis was at Santa Rita in Tucson ..and thats ADC so it took just under 30 days for my approval ..but you can call and bug everyday ....and might get it sooner ..as far as clothes NO Brown.orange,biege or Denim ....you can wear jeans they just have to be Black or other color ..all shirts have to be with sleeves and at collorbone level ( I just wore reg t-shirts) and long skirts are ok... past the knee ..you can take 20$in quarters to spend on the vending machines and your car keys (not all your keys only the ingnition and door key) you can HUG & KISS at the start and end of your visit ...but we used to steal kisses here and there..youll see ..you have to know how your visitng guards are if they are cool or not ...but its better to play by the rules cause once I touched his leg in casual conversation and they wanted to suspend our visits 6 months ...they want your hands where they can see them ....you are going to enjoy Prison visits after the county stuff ..you are once again a normal couple for a few hours and even though there are other families ..some how its all blocked out and you are just in your own world its so beautiful ...just that little time eating and talking and touching ..its great ..oh you can take a closed (brand new )pack of ciggs
if you smoke or he does and they have a area with a lighter so you dont bring one ...he cant touch the money and he has to stay behind aline when you buy food and stuff and they have a microwave to warm up stuff ..they enjoy the food part ...it s good as for the phone ..I dont know because Luis never called me from there ..I visited every weekend so we were trying to save money ...as for sending money just send it to the florence complex the address should be on the Web site ..with his Adc Number o f course ..they say you can also put money at the ADC main office on Jefferson and it goes directly to his books ..so you dont have to wait for the mail to deliver it to him .....good luck ....enjoy your visit ....

East unit guards have been pretty good~ they do watch the dress code, no tan,beige, blue denium, above collarbone on your tops, jewerly, etc. But for the most part we haven't had any hassles.
You're visit time goes by his "letter" that you write on his mail (ie c-2-10 tells if he is north or south) that determines the visit time~ they are 730-1100 and 1130-300 switching early and late (ie sat-early/sun-late or visa versa)
