Hello everyone,this is wabbit from the U.S. Was just curious if anyone knows Aborigine inmate ratio in Canada.My husband was born and raised in Canada and is naturalized citizen here due to adoption in Michigan (he is a product of sixties scoop).Due to the tremendous problems many of the children from this experience have encountered (including problems which led them to destructive behavior which led to incareration) I was just curious to know if over there the ratio is higher than over here.Have spent thousands of hours scouring Canadian sites while on quest to find his birth family and thought I would stop by here to say hello and ask this question.Thanks for any input you may have. :)

I know I saw something one time about the ratios of Aboriginal inmates vs Caucasian inmates and even the regional ratios and recidivism stats.
There are alot of programs specifically geared to the Aboriginal offendors and the Prairie institutions are better, I believe, at meeting their needs.
