I received an email today from another community admin that one of our members or visitors has been re-publishing PTO's member’s mailing list notices about live chats and updates in their online community and others.
Though I appreciate the motivation to help spread the word about PTO, this is considered SPAM and is "rude" to say the very least. PTO has very specific rules against this very thing in which soliciting our members for other communities can get someone banned. SO PLEASE DO NOT SPAM other communities, newsgroups, list-servers, etc, with advertisements or promotions for PTO. If you personally know someone and want to tell them about PTO, please feel free to do so but don't post it in other communities.
Thanks,
David "Fed-X"
SPAM is when you go someplace (in this case, a community) and place advertisements for something. This is considered very disrespectful when you are not an active member in the community/list that you are posting in.
