Can somebody please tell me what I'm allow to send to my husband at Delano. What I can and cannot send? Can I send stamps and envelopes?

only prestamped envelopes from post office, if in reception like my boyfriend he can have up to 10 pieces of paper. no more than 10 pictures per letter. its kind of a pain but its worth it to get letters back. oh yeah and if you plan on sending money for books you can only send post office money orders too.

can anyone tell me who or how exactly I should make a money order out. My husband is in Delano too.

I have sent postage stamps and he has recieved them with no problem. I also send him 15 pre stamped envelopes and 2 tablets of legal sized paper every week, I have had no problem yet with that either. I had heard it was only supposed to be 50 sheets of paper but I always send a hundred.

I guess each prison is different because at Calipatria you could only send 20 envelopes and 20 stamps at a time. I am not sure as to how much paper.

This information is NOT CORRECT!!!! I dont know if the person told me in error or I heard wrong. As I sent a pack of paper, and it was sent back. They also sent a list of allowed an unathorized items. So to set the record straight you can send 50 sheets of paper or 2 writing tablets, 20 embossed envelopes, or 20 blank envelopes. It dosent say anything on here about stamps. No items larger than 8x10 are allowed. I am so sorry for this error, but I now have the correct info in black and white!!!

They sent back the envelope with 150 pages of paper and 40 envelopes. I sent it The first week of Feb and just got it back on Thursday.

It varies on what they can have if they are through orientation or in Ad Se, I suggest only sending 50 pieces of paper at a time, and 20 envelopes. You can send these every other day or so, so your men have enough. Just don't send too much at one time.

My man is not in orientation or Ad Seg and they still sent the paper and envelopes back to me unauthorized because they only allow 50 sheets of paper and 20 envelopes.

I have sent my husband 100 sheets of paper and 20 envelopes every week for the past month - just so he can stock up. He has gotten it all. I send 20 stamps in a greeting card once a week and he's gotten them too. They seem to get greating cards the fastest and that's why i put the stamps in a card. My husband is on B yard and the mail there seems to be okay - at least he gets MY stuff within a week. His mail to me is always all over the place. I can never get a schedule. It's like they mail outgoing whenever they get a wild hair.

Hi there. Am new to this. WHERE are the regulations for mail written down. SURELY they have written these down and can share them with family members of inmates. Have read all your posts regarding what can and cannot be sent...10 pages, 20 pages, (does this include MY letter to him in the 10 or 20 pages), embossed postage envelopes, stamps, etc. Does anyone have a actual weblink to the rules and regs? I've found throughout this ordeal that often times the powers that be are reticent to "share" information about the rules... I would feel much better about sending mail to my husband if I knew what the rules were. Thanks!
