My son was just moved to Beaumont FCI .... If anyone has information on it will you please let me know? Is visitation open to everyone? Is there a limit of visits per week? Can everyone visit at the same time? He has only been at different jails in the last 8 months and they are very strict. I am SOOOOO excited about visiting him and being able to HUG!
The BOP website shows he is in Beaumont but I have not heard from him yet. I was told to wait to visit him 'cause sometimes it takes a week or two to get situated. As soon as I hear from him I will be in my car and heading to Beaumont!

Well...our own Fed-X might be able to help with this one!
Glad to hear he is close to you! Most federal prisons go on a point system. While there are different types....one would be like 8 points a month for visitation. Mon thru Thurs count as 1 point....Fri thru Sun as 2 points. It doesn't matter how many people go during that visit...but they do have limits.
I can't answer questions on this facility...but hopefully someone will be along that can.
You can also do a seach on Beaumont FCI here on PTO. Fed-x has posted lots of great information on it!
Here is a link with info on FCI Beaumont! There are many more!

Thanks Diane,
I have been reading some of the postings ... I'm just glad he did not end up in the USP. The whole prison system is really scary to me ... I will keep researching on this site.
Thank you

Great LInk!!
Thanks ....
Also, my son has called me 3 times already!! Free from the counselors office!! Since it didn't come in collect I didn't think it was my son!! He is in good spirits and is very thankful that he is not in the USP. He still has a sense of humor ... wanted money so he could furnish his apartment!! lol. I didn't realize how much he really needed to start off with ... I think he only had about $30 dollars which is not enough when one first gets there .... He has asked for at least $100 which will not include tennis shoes this time around.
When a visitor goes for visitation is there a long line? Is it better to get there right at 8am or an hour before visitation opens? I was told I could bring in $20 only in change and small bills. If anyone knows any other info let me know. I'm just soooo excited ... but I've also been in tears since I heard from him ....
