He received 2 years, but under the 90% rule. sarah77 02-05-2004, 07:10 AM In the state of georgia it usually takes 6-8 months from the time he reaches diagnostics for them to reach a parole decision on TPM. That's what were waiting on, he's been in for 4 months on a 2 year sentence also, but not under the 90% rule. beckylee 02-05-2004, 10:16 AM What is the 90% rule? Thanks! Jerry's Mom Pauley 02-05-2004, 01:11 PM Certain crimes require you to serve 90% ot time sentenced. Check out "info" at (http://www.dcor.state.ga.us) under pardons and parole. cgold 02-09-2004, 08:54 AM My son falls under the 90% and I was talking with someone a Jackson about it. She said they usually spend all of their sentence in prison because it takes so long to put the paper work through that by the time its done they've served their total sentence. Not encouraging. I will not share this with my son. Although I think he already knows this. Pauley 02-15-2004, 06:35 PM I have heard that on a 2 year sentence you don't get a TPM. Anyone know if that is true? sarah77 02-16-2004, 08:15 AM according to the parole board, I called because my husband has a 2 year sentence. And they said anything 2 years or under they don't get a grid sheet, but they should get a TPM. The grid sheet shows how they calculated the TPM by asking a lot of questions and scoring them. They then send it to the inmate. But because of overcrowding they are hardly going by the grid sheet. B Dancer 02-16-2004, 09:51 AM Does anyone have a copy of the grid that they use? I'm curious about the rating system. I'm also very hopeful that the overcrowding will work in favor of some of us. I've herd that they are closing 6 prision in the state and my guy has said that they are adding 70 people to his dorm alone. sarah77 02-16-2004, 10:18 AM B Dancer someone posted a copy of the grid sheet on here before. Under search type in grid sheet and it should bring it up. Her name was darlenev. Just look for her posts and it should be there. I didn't copy it since it didn't apply to my husband because he only got 2 years and they don't get one. Let me know if you find it. What prison is your guy at because they're constantly releasing at my husbands prison. B Dancer 02-16-2004, 11:33 AM My guy is in Bostic State in Milledgeville. Thank you for the info. I'll try to track down the post of the grid info. Where is your husband? 1dayatatime 02-16-2004, 11:51 AM darlene check your pm!!! thanks sarah77 02-16-2004, 11:58 AM B Dancer, My husband is in Milan State Prison in Telfair County by McCrae, Ga. Since you're in S.C. do you get to see him often? lilivoryangel 02-16-2004, 05:22 PM My husband has been in over a year and we are STILL waiting on a grid sheet! |
