Just a quick note to let everyone know that one of the requirements for receiving any kind of financial aid is that males MUST register for selective service if they are 18 - 25. My guy didn't and now we have to go through the hoops to show them why he didn't, or he won't get his financial aid....

I didn't know it affected that. I remember having someone tell me my foster son didn't have to register. I looked online, and took him to the computer to take care of it.

Yes, it does affect it - his financial aid was turned down for that reason alone until he sends in proof. I printed out the forms he needs to fill out but now we have to show documentation of his being incarcerated - he wasn't confined the whole time so hopefully they don't get technical and say between the dates of such and such when he was free he could have done it.. lol...

So, any of your women out there with guys between 18 - 25 or sons let them know they need to sign up...
