I am in the process of getting things together for him but before I do that I wanted to know if anyone here knows someone doing time that did actually get financial aid and how long it took to get it..

I dont think I have ever heard of that, but we are from different states. What does he want to go to school for? I dont think you need financial aid, you just go.

Are you trying to get financial aid set up for him when he gets out??? If so the FAFSA website has info. on that. My guy has applied however since he is now 26 and never registered for selective service he has to send in some additional information about why he didn't, ect.. He was locked up most of the time but he has to send in supporting documentation for that..
