There was a wonderful chaplain at F.P.C. Bryan, Chaplain Watanabee. He was a fantastic individual. I would go to his office once a week or so just to chat. He treated me as a human being, not a "convict." We discussed religion as well as many other topics. These conversations made my time go by so much easier!! Sadly, he left Bryan to go to F.C.I. Beaumont. There are some good people who work for the federal prison system!

It's nice to hear that someone in the system is there to touch peoples lives. It's a rare thing and you are lucky you found this person. Most have to look outside "the walls" for that. But I also think there are people in every prison willing to help and talk. It's getting a person to actually trust them and open up to them that is the challenge.

I also think that the chap is a doll at my sunshine's facility...even his classifiction officer is a wonderful man, a very religious, honest, sweet man. No, they're not ALL bad.
