Okay so ive been reading the time stuff ..does anyone know where to call here in AZ for the info ....I know its 85% but he was saying something about 3mos taken off for the number ...so if he was sentenced to 5 yrs on 6-5-2003 and they gave him 225 days timed served how much does he have left @ 85% i cant figure it out...or just tell me how to do it ...please

If he is in AZ with the DOC, they have a great web-site - type in his name or ADC number and it will give you the info. It is 85%.

Here's the way I figured it for me and for my fiance and I came out real close:

1,825 days (365 x 5 years)
- 225 days (time served)
----------
1,600
- 240 (1,600 x 15%)
----------
1,360 days = (1,600 x .85)
- 90 days (early kickout)
---------
1,270 days Time of sentence

(1,270 ÷ 365 days = 3.48 years) / Just under 3 1/2 years for a 5 year
sentence.

My fiance has been hearing people talk about the 85% going down to 65% sometime in March. I have not heard anything, but he has heard it from a couple different people. They should do something...maybe it will help the over crowding problem they have in AZ prisons.

Call the department of corrections and they will tell you what you need to know about the time. The number to call is 602-542=5586 I hope this helps you to find out exactly when he can come home.
