Hey... I know a few incarcerated men around in Oregon prisons. A few of them are at OSP. A several are at OSCI. Another one or 2 at CRCI. I've read all the posts in this specific forum and found NOTHING regarding CRCI (Columbia River Correctional Institution) in Portland, Oregon.
**DOES ANYBODY HAVE INFORMATION / ACKNOWLEDGEMENT ON CRCI OF ANY KIND?**
There are 12 different prisons in Oregon, and 4 extra prisons under future construction. The Dept. of Corrections homepage is:

But for those seeking information on prisons, then check this out:

I want to warn you all, I noticed that the medium security prisons are the worse! Such as the visiting staff at OSCI and the people at TRCI (Two Rivers) and stuff like that... OSP isn't really that serious even it's the *ONLY* maximum security prison in the state of Oregon. I gonna warn those who go to visit loved ones at OSP.. Be sure to watch out for the lady with curly red hair in a ponytail with bangs AND the buffy old man that loves to go over to visitors and criticize them. All others are actually AWESOME! As for OSCI... be sure to watch out for Sgt. Pyle. At CRCI, the officers seem very neutral and consistent with the rules. I often talk to my man from the parking lot through glass (and fence) after the end of visits while he waits to be called in his dorm! :) Well, that's all I have to say at THIS MOMENT... More later.

Thanks for the post and all the "inside" information!

I am more familiar with facilities in Washington, and no matter which one I visit, they all seem to have their own "quirks".

Can you be on more than one inmate visit list in Oregon?

CRCI is near Portland. It is a minimum custody facility for men. It houses the "Turning Point Program" which is a drug/alcohol treatment program that offenders enter when they are 12 - 18 months short of release. Zelda

Yes it is!! I did a term paper on the A&D Treatment programs in the Oregon prisons. Turning Point, InFocus, and Bridgepoint. They have some really good programs.

Wished more could receive it though.
