:pissed: My hubbie just got transferred to prison from county jail Thursday and I call the prison. They told me his time did not get decreased. He has 13 years and 6mos to go. :cuffs: I'm hurt, depressed and Off The Hook if you know what I mean. So I'll be around for a long minute with the long timers for all of that support and encouragement because I need it. Thanks (Sniff, Sniif) It hurt so bad :(

calvin has been locked up now for 14 months. he received a fifteen year minimum mandatory sentance. i have a great deal of gratitude that calvin is STILL ALIVE! it really helps me to think of this experience as an opportunity. i did not feel that way a year ago. but i recently bought a house. i don't have to fix people any more. i can fix my house! lol. keep coming back. just for today-- i will be unafraid!

Well Rich has been away for 10 years now and goes up for parole in October...we are estimating he should be out within the next 2 or 3 years...if not he maxes out in 2014 so I will be here for awhile too! It's okay cuz we still have each other here on PTO..

I am very sorry to hear that. My man was sentenced to 15 years, his first year will be completed in the summer sometime. He will do 12 years with 85% (hoping the % will change soon!) I just recently found this forum even though I have been lurking around other forum's for about a year now! Us Long-term sentenced offenders need to stick together!

Thank you all for your support, I feel better now. Hubbie wrote me a letter yesterday and said Powhatan is much better than being at Powhatan Corrections. I'm relieved for that and hope to talk to him before the weekend. Thanks a bunch. PTO is the best!

We have another 9 amd a half years to go before we reach our minimum on a 15 to 30 year spread... so, you have found the right place here bunnyrun! It gets very difficult at times, especially when you feel like noone else understands your postion, but we all do! I guess the length of time we have to go is in a sense, a blessing for me and my man... He could have very well gotten life, handed down from the death penalty that was originally sought.... be thankful for everyday, and remember, every day that passes is a day down on that ever so long sentence.

I guess this is a site I need to be in. Im a friend of a 12 to 14 .He is in pccf here in Mass. He has only been in 9 months so far and he already wants out. He loves me and I love him but I also need to have a life. Going in to all this I have a boyfriend of 9 years. But me and Tom have known each other for 27 years. I have always been there for him and I plan to be here for him now. It does put a LARGE strain on the relationship Im in, but my friendship with Tom is very important to me . He was there for me when I needed him long ago. Although his drug addiction had kept us from being a couple he still looks at me as his girl. In jail im known as his girl and thats fine with me, but 12 years is a long time. So I dont want to upset him in anyway. He has asked me to take care of his Mom and I do . I am here for her as well, we call each other and we visit Tom together. She is old and its a long haul to where he is.Tom calls me 3x a week and I try to get him the questions he has answered from the outside.Sometimes I think I am leading him on to think We will be together when he gets out But he does know I have a relationship going. He says he doesnt care. Do you think me being his only link to the outside world is helping or hurting?? I never want to lose him as a friend, but who knows what will happen. I sometimes think this was gods will to keep him alive because the heroin was his girlfriend. Now I am. is that o.k My boyfriend knows all about him he even left me at one point. But I explained to him how far back our frienship/relationship goes .My boyfriend also knows I love him but I also explain about the drug issues that surrounded our friendship .I went through the whole trial and all that goes with it.We have never had a romantic relationship although we tried but the first time he nodded at the table I ended that.Is it safe what Im doing??I tell Tom we will take it one day at a time, and I want to be here for him.I do love him. any suggestions???? I am in therapy over this, It was very tramatic.
Since he did accidentally run over and kill an off duty cop, on his way to get drugs!!!!

I found out after the Hubbie got classified that he has only 11 years to go not 13 years. That's a relief. Virginia give you your good time up front. I just hope he don't get any tickets. I'm just going to keep busy while the Hubbie is away and write a lot! :D

Well I have 7 years to go. He has been in there only 7 months. Well I will need you guys through this. I am so glad I found this place. How many of you didn't meet your man when he was already in prison? What I mean is, were any of you together before he went?

Hey girl! I am in the same boat. My man got transferred on Friday and the sad thing about it is that he doesn't even have a release date yet. It cannot be anymore than three years from now because he got four but not knowing is killing both of us. Where did your hubbie get sent?
