Hey all. Got good news last night. My boyfriend is going to McNaughton Minimum prison within the month. He will be home in 5 months. Does anyone have any information on McNaughton such as visiting rules and visiting hours. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I am so happy. He is finally coming home and this is one more step in his journey till he is home.

My boyfriend has been at McNaughton for almost 2 years. I know a lot about the place and am happy to answer any questions.
Visiting is Friday 6-9 p.m., Saturday: 8:30-3:30 and Sunday 9-3:30, I believe. In the fall/winter, on Saturdays and Sundays, you have to leave for an hour in the middle of visiting because they feed the guys. During the summer, you can bring in any food you want for you and the inmate and the don't make you leave.
The outside visiting are is awesome, lots of picnic tables, and little shelter if its raining. The inside visiting area SUCKS. Its about a fifteen foot x fifteen foot room with chairs just randomly thrown around. No tables and NO privacy. You sit right next to the guards. I suggest dressing warm so you can be outside!
As far as the rules go, it really depends who is working at the time. The last time I was there I brought blankets for me and my guy to sit under and I put my head on his shoulder the whole visit. I also broguht in a crossword puzzle book for us to do. Lame, but you gotta find ways to fill the time. No one said a damn thing. The next day some other guard was there and yelled at us for the blankets and told us we couldn't even TOUCH eachother, almost terminated our visit! Watch out for the female guard, she will watch you the whole time.
Otherwise the place itself is decent, my guy likes it there (for being in prison). It is in the middle of NOWHERE so sometimes on visits you see deer, racoon, and bears!
Let me know any other questions you have.
