Roger's Girl

When I got home tonight I had a message from Roger's mom to call, said she had something important to tell me.
Turns out one of the guys that Roger ran with and grew up with was in the wrong Chicago neighborhood and was shot twice in the head while driving.
I have never been exposed to the "Gang Life" and I cant imagine ever being in the wrong neighborhood. It really has me thinking.
This guy, Stacy, was apart of Roger's case. Stacy held the key to telling the truth about the extenet Roger played in the crime that put him in prison. Due to other "gang" people Stacy would never tell the truth and now it has died with him. He left behind 3 boys in age 12 - 4.
I really feel sad for his sons. I think that is what I am feeling, sadness. I never met this guy, but I feel horrible for his children.
Coming from my perspective, it's easy to say, why can't people learn that so many die from the living the "gang life." I just hope this man sons are strong enough to rise above it, if for nothing else their own sakes.
I was just feeling sad and weird about this news and the first thing I thought was I needed to share it you.
Thanks for listening.
