Hey everyone thanks for taking the time to read this! I'm not really sure how to explain my situation right now but I will try my best. First off I'm near the end of my probation. I did the jail time the classes all that is left is to pay restitution. The DOC out of no where just switched my PO after 5 years with the same PO. The new PO has been very mean and threatening to put me in jail or possibly try and revoke me for not being able to pay restitution. I haven't committed any crimes or any new charges. I had my probation extended because I didn't finish paying off restitution due to lack of work. This PO keeps saying by this day if I don't do what they ask I will go to jail or they will go to the judge and revoke me. The deadlines keep changing it's very confusing. All I need is a job or a loan which I can't find either. It's very stressful!!!! I was wondering if this new PO can just go to the judge and revoke me for being poor and not being able to find work? The PO has me on a work search everyday 2 applications a day which is fine because I need money and want to work. But seriously can they just revoke me for not getting hired anywhere and not being able to pay the restitution off? Any suggestions?

well, my po says that if you are making a good faith effort to try to find work, that they can't revoke you. The only way they can revoke you is if they can prove to a judge that you are not trying to work, or that you've had money and refused to pay. My po is VERY cool and i can talk to her about anything, and she says if there are no violations and no new charges, that the judge would not revoke you, she says they know that times are hard, especially if you've been convicted of a crime. good luck to you.

Thanks for the info FINALLY OUT! I have to do a job search log sheet each week. It's documented that I'm making an effort to find work. Having a felony makes the chance of a job much harder! I'm not saying it's impossible to find work. I just need to find the right job that will hire someone with a criminal record. I had a really cool po but for some reason after 5 years with the same po they just switched me to a new one?? The new po is a nazi! Every other word out of their mouth is jail this or prison that! I'm a single parent and the last thing I need is to get sent away and leave my daughter with no daddy! I guess all I can do is keep filling out applications and pray that things will change!

My son has a felony and not the greatest record from other minors in his "youth" - he had good luck working with a placement agency called Link Staffing. They're throughout the state of TX but I don't know if they are a national company but if not there should be similar out there.

Their only restriction was no aggravated type of charges.

I wish you the very best of luck - God Bless!
