Hello everyone,

I have a bit of a problem...maybe some of you can help me!

I want to go visit my husband who is at CCC, but I cannot drive since my driving privileges have been taken away for 2 more months. Anyway, do any of you know if there is a bus or shuttle that takes you from somewhere near Los Angeles all the way to Susanville? Or maybe if I buy a flight to Reno, is there any shuttles taht take you to Susanville from Reno?

Thank you so much for your help!!!

Hi Missfaust
My husband is also in CCC. I haven't went to visit him yet. I was all set to go a couple of weeks ago, then LOCKDOWN. Try this service, The Love Bus at 1-877-LOVE-BUS. They drive from LA and Riverside and charge like $160 for a Sat and Sun visit. Havent rode with them yet, but they seem like nice people. The price might include a motel stay overnight too. As far as I know, there isnt any way to get from reno to susanville if you don't drive. Greyhound doesn't go to Susanville. Take care and don't forget to call first, they love to put our guys on lockdown up there.

Hi Cynthia! The only way I know of to get from Reno to Susanville, short of renting a car (which obviously you aren't in a position to do) or paying for a $200 cab ride (eek!) is to take the Mt. Lassen Shuttle. I haven't been up to Susanville since November, so maybe things have changed with the shuttle, but as far as I know they pick up at the Reno Greyhound station at around 3:00 every afternoon. Except they're usually always running late, especially when it's snowing, so sometimes you have to hang around indefinitely before it arrives. The roundtrip price, last I knew, was $65. I'm using a friend's computer right now, and the number I have for the shuttle is at my house, but if you need the number just let me know and I can look it up for you when I'm back at my house. I hope you get a chance to visit soon, and without a lockdown this time.
