Hey, just wanted to say a big THANKS to all of you. I came across this web site today. I was feeling down because I have a partner on the inside and feel as if none of my firends or family understand. After reading comments from this site, I realsie that I was right, none of them do understand, how could they??? Today I found myself reading my own thoughts through you, and I think knowing we are not alone helps a lot, knowing there are people who can't be with their loved ones for an even longer period of time, makes me feel selfish for dwelling in self pity. It's hard to keep your head above water when everyone is trying to pull you down. Love always wins in the end. :wave:

It's ok once in a while to feel sorry for yourself, because this situation really does suck. The important thing is that you are able to lift yourself up out of that so you do not miss out on living. I hope you have at least a few people in your life (I mean besides us) who are supportive of your relationship.

This is a very hard situation knowing our loved ones will be gone for a long time and still riding it out with them...it takes alot out of you but the reward is worth it all...to me it is.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. MrsP, I do have one sister out of 3 who supports my relationship, the other two are very negative and make me feel like I have to continuously defend what we have. If they can't see him for who he really is, not who the State of Florida say he is, I guess they are missing out on knowing a brilliant, loving person. Thanks again guys!
