I usually don't even watch Televison.. especially soap operas and talk shows, but something drew me to Oprah today and when I found out what the topic was I took interest in it. It was pretty good although it should have included a variety of people. That lady is lucky to have such a strong support system and I just hope that she will have the courage to continue!

Oprah, PHFFFT! I can't stand that woman! I wonder if on that detox show she talked about her own experience with detox. I mean, no matter how exotic a problem her guest has, Oprah has had the same problem. An abused woman comes on, Oprah talks about her life as an abused woman. If a UFO abductee shows up, Oprah relates (and crys) as she recalls her own UFO abduction. If a survivor of a Space Shuttle crash is a guest, Oprah will talk about how she survived a Space Shuttle crash herself.
I would rather gouge my eyes out with flaming toothpics, douse myself in gasoline and dive into a lit fireplace before I let someone tie lead to my ass and throw me in front of a TV playing Oprah!

Well Speed, you certainly are entitled to your opinion. But I can tell you don't watch the show. This woman you are bashing helps millions of people. It was from watching her special on childhood sexual abuse (maybe about 10 yrs or so ago) that I finally heard the words "it was not your fault, you were a child". This set into motion the start of my healing from the most horrible abuse you can ever imagine. This woman changed my life and I am forever grateful to her! I don't know your standing with our maker, but Oprah will be going to heaven on an expressway I'm sure! You can put that in your pipe and smoke it! :ham:
