One of my big hoobies is writing, and every November there's an exciting event called National Novel Writing Month (http://www.nanowrimo.org) (NaNoWriMo). Pen 50,000 words in 30 days and you get to print up a nifty certificate praising your ability to write a book within the span of a month!

I know a lot of us have our hands full with work, school, bills, kids and other things, but are there any other WriMos out there who treasure taking the Great Escape into a novel during November? I find I'm more excited about it this year than any other year, lol. NaNo always makes the whole month of November fly by excrutiatingly fast, and that would be great since I want time to speed up to Matt's release date! Plus, productivity is more than welcome on the days I miss my man to the point of breaking apart... Last year I was working three jobs and going to school part time and it was hard to make extra time for NaNo, but it was wel worth it!

Anyway, though the event doesn't start until November 1st, I wanted to pop in early and see if there are any other NaNo novelists out there, or anyone who likes to write who wants to give it a try this year! :D

My daughter doesnt write books, but she plays some online game where they write these stories as games. It's mind blowing stuff. I often wonder where she gets her ideas. The one day she chatted to me on google talk and asked me for some Ideas, because I read a lot of crime stuff. The things we came up with for a murder scene was amazing. She says I watch too much Crime and Investigation channels. :)

I write short stories and have had ten or twelve published in books like Chicken Soup, etc. I have always wanted to write a novel but have procrastinated. This is a good challenge. I'll check it out! Thanks for posting.
